Longshore Massage:

The year 2003 began a great deal of change in my life. Over weight, I resolved to do something about it and ultimately started on the path that brought me here.

I received the National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, NSCA-CPT, accreditation in August of 2006 and completed the Health & Human Performance graduate program at the University of Houston Clear Lake in December of the same year. My goal was to begin personal and sport specific training, but on the suggestion of a professor, I decided to add the massage license to round out my services.

I attended The Texas School of Massage and became a licensed massage therapist, LMT, in July of 2007 and was promptly offered a position with the upscale and fabulous Bergamos Spa Retreat, Friendswood, TX.

Working closely with Dr. Laura Perry DC at The Institute of Trigger Point Therapy in 2008, I became a Certified Trigger Point Therapist, and quickly rose to be the #1 ranked therapist at the spa. Knowing then that the spa services industry was my true calling, I enrolled in the Esthetics program at College of the Mainland. I left the spa after a very successful two years to pursue a private practice exclusively, and shortly after was awarded the Facial Specialist license by the state of Texas.

Having opened and successfully run a massage practice in my hometown of Alvin, TX for six years, I relinquished the esthetic license to focus soley on massage and in 2015 moved to North Texas to marry the love of my life! My wife is a Pre-K teacher with LISD...everyone should be so lucky to have a significant other as wonderful as her.

Upon arriving in Flower Mound, I needed an income, so I took the misguided step of going to work for a national franchise here in town. Believing my wife and I were moving soon, I figured it wouldn't be worth investing in another private practice to have to leave it behind. Two years in and an outlook that has us here for the next two years, I have decided to once again pursue my own business, where my client-centric approach can be fully realized.

Dr Perry's design of effective treatment protocols to address Trigger Points most typically involved with common pain disorders is the foundation on which the Longshore Massage practice is built.
